Nestled in the heart of Pittsburgh’s North Hills, Saint Teresa of Avila School is flourishing in its second century of providing a top-quality Catholic elementary education to students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade.
Saint Teresa School is located in the Perrysville area of Ross Township, just off Perry Highway (Rt. 19) To reach the school driveway from Perry Highway (Rt. 19), use Atlantic Avenue or Lindley Lane.
Students attend Saint Teresa from many school districts: North Hills, North Allegheny, Avonworth, Pine-Richland, Shaler, and the City of Pittsburgh. Pennsylvania School Code states that a school district that provides transportation to its students must also transport to a private school which meets the following criteria: The nonpublic school must be nonprofit and located within ten miles of the district’s boundary, measured by the nearest public road. If the school building in which the pupil is enrolled is not located within the ten-mile distance, the nonpublic pupil is not eligible for transportation, nor are his parents eligible for payment towards transportation costs.
Contact the school district where you live to determine if your child will be transported.
