Dear Friend of St. Teresa School,
The Second Century Fund—introduced one year ago to ensure the future of St. Teresa School— received tremendous support in its inaugural year. Thanks to many generous donors, more scholarships were awarded for this school year, and all of our students are inspired by new tools and surroundings in our renovated art and music studios, library and auditorium. Such a remarkable response from our friends demonstrates that many people have a strong belief in the mission of St. Teresa School, and for that we are very grateful.
In order for our school to remain vital, the Second Century Fund cannot be a one-time effort. I am writing to ask that you continue to support St. Teresa of Avila School during the 2011-2012 year, which we have designated “The Year of Science and Technology.” Your donation will support improvements such as:
-
Building a greenhouse and nature trail to help bring science to life for our students.
-
Upgrading the science lab for grades 6–8 with new lab tables, chairs and cabinets.
-
Purchasing additional laptops, computer carts and SMART Boards to further integrate technology into the learning experience.
In addition, the Second Century Fund provides much-needed tuition assistance for those families who value the high-quality Catholic education provided by St. Teresa — but may be challenged by the financial commitment. Our aim is to ensure that every student who wants to attend our school is able to, and we can only do that with your help. Your gift to the Second Century Fund for St. Teresa School will provide financial assistance to more students and help keep tuition affordable for all families while enhancing learning for our students.
Please become a continuing supporter of the Second Century Fund. Several generous parishioners, alumni, and school families have already pledged their support again this year. We hope you will join them by making a tax-deductible gift to the Second Century Fund by returning the commitment form today.
On behalf of our students, thank you. Please know that you are always in our prayers.
Sister Karen Brink, OSB
Principal, St. Teresa of Avila School
P.S. Your partnership in The Second Century Fund for St. Teresa School will enable us to provide financial aid to more students and enhance science and technology programs for our current students. Please consider a gift today! Thank you.
