The first Athletic Association Meeting of the 2013-2014 school year will be held on Tuesday, August 6th at 7:30 pm in the school library. All parents who have a child that attends St. Teresa of Avila or its partnering Schools for athletics are invited and welcome to attend.  Please join us!

Catholic schools are excellent because they are holistic in nature. They educate the whole person. In addition to the spiritual and intellectual dimensions, there is the need for the physical development of each student. Catholic elementary schools in the Diocese of Pittsburgh support sports programs as part of their ministry to their students. Every effort is made to place competitive sports in a Christian perspective.

St. Teresa belongs to and participates in the Pittsburgh Diocesan Athletic League. Through the efforts of our Athletic Association and their approved bylaws we provide:

Varsity and Junior Varsity Girls Basketball Grades 4-8
Varsity and Junior Varsity Boys Basketball Grades 4-8
Varsity and Junior Varsity Cheerleading Grades 4-8
Varsity and Junior Varsity Co-ed Soccer Grades 4-8
Varsity and Junior Varsity Girls Volleyball Grades 5-8
Varsity and Junior Varsity Boys Volleyball Grades 5-8
Varsity and Junior Varsity Co-ed Cross-Country Running Grades 5-8

Available for our younger students in Grades 1-3 is the Little Titans Basketball Program as well as a cheerleading Pep Squad for Grades K-3.
