Many ways to help Saint Teresa of Avila School are very easy.

Ask grandparents and other family members to sign up or save labels, too

Bonus Bucks

The Bonus Bucks program is a Scrip program where gift cards can be purchased from the school and used in your everyday life.  Saint Teresa has purchased gift cards from a wide variety of local vendors. You pay face value for the card. You use the card just like cash for your normal expenditures.

Bonus Bucks are an easy way to defray your tuition costs.  For each card that you purchase, a certain percentage of the face value goes to reduce your tuition.  For example, purchasing $150 in gift cards for Giant Eagle, Shop’n Save, or Kuhns will earn $4.50 of credit.  If you purchase that for four weeks of the month, that is a credit of $18.  Family members can also buy Bonus Bucks and provide your family’s name to receive the tuition credit.

Tuition Credits from Bonus Bucks purchases are credited to your tuition account quarterly.  When you log into your Smart Tuition account, you will see the credit.

Purchases in June, July, and August are credited in September.

Purchases in September, October, and November are credited in December.

Purchases in December, January, and February are credited in March.

Purchases in March, April, and May are credited in June.

Any questions about the crediting can be directed to the Rectory Business Office at 412-367-9001 x509.

Bonus Bucks can be purchased in the following ways:

  • Send the order form and check to school with your child in an envelope marked “Front Office: Bonus Bucks”.  The order will be sent home with your child that day or you can choose to come to the office to pick it up.
  • School Office on school mornings from 8:15 A.M. – 8:45 A.M.
  • Rectory Office on Saturdays from 8:30 A.M. – 7:30 P.M.
  • Rectory Office on Sundays from 8:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.

Pennsylvania’s Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program allows businesses to direct their state tax dollars toward scholarships at the school of their choice. The application process is simple, and all businesses entities can apply, including sole proprietorships. If you are interested in this tax credit opportunity for your business, please contact the school at 412-367-9001, ext 530.
