Dear Families of Saint Teresa of Avila Students,
It is hard to believe that in the second week of February we are looking forward to a new school year! We are already beginning to plan for the 2011-2012 academic year.
Often we are reminded of the “dividends” of Catholic education and we would hope that each of you who reads this letter can enumerate the dividends for your child or children and your family. We believe that each of your children is a blessing to our school and we thank you for allowing us to share in the wonderful responsibility of providing a quality Catholic education for them.
By registering your child or children for the 2011-2012 school year you will be doing just that! As new families call to inquire about our school, a comment that they frequently make is that “I hear nothing but good about St. Teresa” and we know that they hear that from you! We also know that we do not have to list the many good things that they hear! We firmly believe that the most important and the greatest asset our school has is our students and the comment at the bottom of our stationery certainly says that.
Kindly complete the registration form included in the packet and return it along with the registration fee by March 1, 2011. We use the registration information to determine personnel needs for the coming year, as well as tuition figures for the coming year, so it is very important that we have accurate information for both.
Each family is also receiving a financial aid packet. Please be sure to read carefully the information contained in the packet and note the information about eligibility for aid for all levels. Also be reminded that St. Teresa of Avila Parish matches, dollar for dollar, any aid given for students in kindergarten through Grade 8.
In addition, all students entering Grades 6-8, who have been enrolled in our school, St. Athanasius or Holy Spirit since kindergarten, receive a $125.00 scholarship.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful children with us and allowing us to have the great privilege that is ours, sharing the educational endeavor with you.
Sincerely,
Father Robert Vular, Pastor
Sister Karen R. Brink, OSB, Principal
