Kindergarten ~ Significant Curriculum Guidelines

Students will begin learning to listen to the sounds of Spanish and repeat what they hear. They will be able to say how they are feeling, identify family members, and learn the words for colors, numbers, days of the week, and months of the year.

Teaching Strategies Used

Kindergarten students will have the opportunity to speak the language during each class period. Story books, a story board, and music are used to introduce concepts and vocabulary. They will also begin to write some basic Spanish words.

Both grades will be introduced to culture in Central America, South America, and Spain.
